- Open Outlook
- Click File
- Under Info, click Add Account
- Select Manual setup or additional server types, and then click Next
- IMAP, and then click Next
Complete the following fields:
- Your Name – Enter what you want your display name to be for this account
- Email Address – Enter your full email address
- Account Type – Select IMAP
- Incoming mail server:
- Outgoing mail server:
- User Name – Your full email address
- Password – Your email account password
- Remember password – Select this option
- Require logon using Secure Password Authentication – Deselect this option
- Go to the Outgoing Server tab, and then complete the following fields
- My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication – Select this option
- Use same settings as my incoming mail server – Select this option
- Go to the Advanced tab, and complete the following fields:
- Incoming server: IMAP: 143 (or 993 for SSL)
- This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) – If you’re using SSL, select this option. If not, deselect it.
- Outgoing server (SMTP): Use 80, 3535, 25, or for SSL use 465
- Use the following type of encrypted connection – Set this to none unless you’re use SSL, then set to SSL
- Click OK
In the Add Account window underneath, click Next
